The Summer House – Guest Comments

Fresh back from a week in Mousehole and I have to say it’s been voted our favourite holiday by all five members of the family which includes the dog!  The property is incredibly well equipped, our hosts were incredibly attentive, super nice and friendly and made us feel very much welcome in Mousehole.  We will definitely be back!

An absolutely amazing stay at this lovely property. A beautiful location, peaceful and secluded on the edge of Paul, in walking distance of Mousehole.  Karen & John were so friendly and welcoming and made us feel very welcome in The Summer House. Everything was perfect.

Had a great week in Cornwall. Stayed in the Summer House in Mousehole. Great service and communications from Phay at Stylish Cornish Cottages. John, Karen and family that own the Summer House and live next door were very friendly and accommodating. The Summer House is in a fab spot and really is a home-from-home just a short walk in to the beautiful fishing village of Mousehole.

We loved the pool and had much fun playing football and tennis with the children. We will definitely return.

We stayed in The Summer House in Mousehole, managed by Stylish Cornish Cottages.  The service was top class.  I was provided with regular updates and all the information before hand to make our stay most enjoyable.  I would thoroughly recommend The Summer House as a location for families as its perfect for visiting local beaches, and the train to St Ives is only 15 mins away.  It’s a short stroll down to Mousehole Harbour and not far from the Rock Pool Café which has superb views of Cornwall.

We have just returned from a lovely sunny stay at the Summer House in Mousehole. We are a family of 5 and it was the perfect base for us. The children loved the football pitch and swimming pool and we were only a short walk from the village/harbour. We would 100% recommend a stay here and would not hesitate in booking through Stylish Cornish Cottages in the future.

Would highly recommend. Great location , quiet setting, staying in spacious and comfortable accommodation with access to swimming pool and football cage. Kind touches such as leaving wine in the fridge and home made cake from hosts John and Karen made us feel very welcome. So close to lots great places…Bronze Age sites, coastal walks zen or to st ives, hire bikes from Elm farm so we could ride coast to coast was our favourite day ! A great family holiday.

John and Karen were fantastic hosts and attentive to our needs. The house exceeded our expectations and its location which benefits from off street parking is a real find in this location. The house is well designed and laid out. The accommodation is spacious and thoughtfully furnished for families and individuals. I look forward to returning to The Summer House in the future.

We really enjoyed ourselves. The weather was great so we went out most days, however if it was bad, you could easily find things to do in the house. We met John the owner, such a nice and welcoming guy! You could easily have a BBQ with him! Very polite and always offering help etc… The house itself really suited our needs, really relaxing and we felt like royalty there almost. Very private! Nice little walk into Mousehole which is a great little village, nice food and the best ice cream ever (must have had about 15 between us all). The only regret I have is we didn’t get a chance to say bye to John and his family and thank them personally as the kids were playing up as they didn’t want to leave! Hopefully we were good guests and they’ll allow us back – as we would certainly return time and time again

This was a very well set up property, with an excellent kitchen, good sized lounge area and comfortable bedrooms. Karen and John were very friendly, and left some lovely goodies for our arrival. The pool was a nice sun trap and the garden was very peaceful. Wifi quality was good ( mobile reception is limited.) We would recommend this property highly. The restaurant 2 Fore St down the hill in Mousehole was spectacular, well worth a visit or two.

Beautiful property in a great location. The Summer House gave us everything we needed & more. The house is beautifully kept with added luxuries. It’s in a peaceful location & only a short walk away from the picturesque Mousehole harbour. Very happy with our choice!

Our holiday in Mousehole was absolutely wonderful, we loved every minute and struggled to leave at the end of the week! The house is so spacious, comfortable and tasteful too. John, Karen and family were not only so welcoming and friendly, they left us a delicious home baked cake, flowers, a bottle of Prosecco and fresh bread with Cornish butter – all such lovely gestures. We couldn’t fault the facilities and surroundings, their garden is very beautiful with sea views in the distance, and a whole host of acitivities for the children which really made the holiday. Mousehole is the prettiest Cornish village I’ve ever visited with little winding lanes, such an attractive harbour and a sprinkling of gorgeous shops and galleries. Thank you so much for a perfect holiday, we can’t wait to visit again!
