Rinsey Head, Guest Comments

We have just returned home from a wonderful family holiday – at Rinsey Head, a holiday location which truly has the Wow factor!

This is indeed a very special house in amazing surroundings.

From the moment of entering the private grounds and drive, that sweeps down to the house, one encounters the most breath-taking view of Rinsey Head, set against a spectacular seascape, surrounded by unspoilt coastal vegetation.

The utterly memorable initial scene is reinforced when stepping into the house. All the rooms provide fantastic views in every direction across the sea, as does the well positioned terrace. The terrace catches the sun from dawn to dusk, so it is a delight to relax there, gaze out to sea and watch the comings and goings of the fishing boats, surfers and seabird life including a very unfazed Kestrel searching the cliffs.

This property is a definite for any lover of seascapes, coastal walking, secluded beaches, and being off the beaten track, is ideal for just relaxing to the sound of the sea!

Our family loved the location, the atmosphere and the facilities, and as we are all foodies the well-appointed kitchen and Aga were well used.

Porthleven is a short drive away and can also be reached via the coastal path (although for some that might be slightly challenging). St Ives and Penzance are also nearby.

We rented the house via Stylish Cornish Cottages www.stylishcornishcottages.co.uk. Our contact was Phay MacDowel phay@stylishcornishcottages.co.uk, who arranged our stay and was always on hand to answer our queries in a very efficient and helpful way

Privilege to stay here! Fabulous!

Fabulous house in amazing location. We saw pods of dolphins swim past on several days. Also the excitement of the Coastguard helicopter flying over with, I could swear, Santa waving at me from the open door of the helicopter on Christmas Day! House was lovely and warm, and the Aga perfect to cook our Christmas goose in. The owners kindly left a nice tree and lots of goodies like mince pies, chocs etc which were much appreciated. Beds comfortable, enough bathrooms to make mornings easy. Beautiful footpath and hiking on the doorstep. Truly a privilege to stay in such a stunning property.

Kathy and I had one of the most wonderful holidays ever . What a fantastic place ,it was so clean and well laid out. We felt so happy on the arrival and the master bedroom had great views and the bed was so comfortable if it was not the fact we were missing the unbelievable views first thing in the morning I could have easily stayed in the bed all day.
The walk along the coastal path was amazing taking us into the fishing village of Porthleven and an easy bus ride back wow a place we will always remember.
Thanks to yourself and your team in keeping this magical place in good shape for us all to hire .
All the best John / Kathy from Norwich Norfolk

Wonderful comfortable house in a fantastic location

Three generations gathered in this lovely house for a warm Autumn week. The location could not have been better, with wide sweeping views out to sea, glorious sunsets, sails, seals and even a whale. The house was extremely comfortable and well appointed – it felt more like a home than a holiday home – and everything was included that was needed. Thank you for a wonderful week.

Highly recommend

We first visited Rinsey and saw Rinsey Head over 45 years ago and longed to stay there. Over the last 10 years we have stayed 5 times I think , this year with our grandchildren. The house, location and view are spectacular and never disappoint, no matter the weather. The house is very comfortable, lovely open fire and plenty of space if needed. Our favourite spot is the terrace, could just stay there. We can highly recommend, and will hopefully visit again soon. Thanks also to Phay for her help.

An amazing location and a fabulous house, great for an extended family holiday. It was a pleasure to wake up and look out the window from the bedrooms in the morning, it felt like living on a boat! The house is surrounded by sea, perched on the edge of the cliff and the view is stunning from all angles. The kitchen was very cosy with a lovely aga, making cooking a pleasure, and the dining room was spacious and comfortable with seating for up to 10 and magnificent views . There was a full stock of all required crockery and cooking utensils and all other implements. We were able to enjoy the terrace too, more than expected for a November break. Walks from the house were the best, either down the cliffs across Praa Sands beach or in the other direction around the headland towards Porthleven. We enjoyed the isolation even though we were really not as far from our neighbours as it felt.

We thoroughly enjoyed our week and would stay in the house again. There can be very view properties in such an impressive location.

Outstanding location, beautiful house!

Stayed with a group of 9 friends, and had the perfect week holiday. Would recommend st michaels mount for a day trip, and the two beaches on either side of the house. Also some stunning walks.
Could not recommend staying here more! Incredible location, amazing house, beautiful beaches, well cleaned and maintained, and a good price for what you get! 5*s all round, will definitely be returning.

Spectacular stay!

We took our family to Rinsey Head for a week in June this year. It was such a spectacular stay – from the location to the house itself to the lovely welcome package left for us on arrival. We will be back for sure and can’t wait! We couldn’t recommend the property more, it is truly spectacular. You’ll find it very difficult to drag yourself away from the terrace / windows while admiring the view!
