We had the most glorious week staying at Rinsey Head for the May 1/2 term holiday. Calling it the best location for a holiday home in Cornwall is not an exaggeration. It was perfect. The most stunning, panoramic sea views, towering cliffs, and the sound of the waves crashing against the cliffs. The house itself was fantastic, from every room you just find yourself looking out of the windows, relaxing and smiling. Beautifully clean, spacious and tasteful, it provided the ideal venue for a celebratory holiday with the family.

It’s a real struggle to write a review as I don’t want too many more people knowing about this beautiful place for fear of it being booked up! But SCC are brilliant, Phay always looks after us perfectly and the house is just my favourite place in the world, nothing beats those views to wake up to. We all love it so much.

Third visit to Rinsey Head House and we will definitely be back again. Wild weather, bracing coastal walks, sandwiches with freshly caught crab from Newlyn and super pub lunches in Porthleven before returning to the house: warm (thanks to the Aga), cosy and you feel miles from everything, especially at night when the skies light up with a million stars. We love the house, it’s beautifully appointed and you would be hard pushed to find a better location. Wonderful!

We stayed a week at Rinsey Head House. Photos cannot fully capture the incredible views you see from almost every room in this house. It is a breathtaking experience. The house is getting on for a hundred years old and still retains some lovely features like the granite fire surround and window frames, yet it still has the necessary modern conveniences. The most spectacular location we’ve ever encountered. As for StylishCornishCottages, Phay lives close by and was very helpful and quick to respond when we needed assistance. Thank you Phay. Another wonderful stay at Rinsey Head; surely the finest situated house in Cornwall, looking out onto the Atlantic Ocean, with The Lizard on one side and Mousehole and Newlyn on the other! The coastal path running through the grounds, for those who are feeling fit!

We stayed at The House on Rinsey Head during December. The house is fabulous and in an amazing location. Remote and on a headland with superb views all round. Great for getting away from it all and for walking. Although we stayed in December the house was very warm.

We have just spent a wonderful week at Rinsey Head. The location was spectacular. The house was very comfortable and well equipped. We enjoyed a Force 8 gale on our first night which was very dramatic but also had plenty of sunshine to make the most of the fantastic terrace.

Staying at Rinsey Head was a dream come true. We’ve been coming to West Cornwall for more than 15 years and Rinsey is our favourite beach. Many a time we have looked up at that house and thought how special it would be to stay there. And when we finally did, the experience exceeded our wildest expectations.

Location, location, location! This cliff top property is out of this world. For anyone who loves sea views, coastal walks, being on the beach and exploring the caves and crags this house ticks all the boxes. The location was so dramatic and inspiring that we all want to go back again. The teenagers in our family said it was the best holiday. I am so happy that we managed to please everyone from age 13 to age 85 – not an easy task. We will return!

This is one of the kind property sitting at the top of a cliff on 27 acres of land with amazing views across the sea. You can take amazing walks, go down to the beach or watch surfers riding the waves form your window. In many ways it reminded us of Big Sur in California. The house is well stocked and like a proper country home it has its own AGA oven, which, if you have not used gives you all new perspective into cooking (it’s really easy!) We really enjoyed our stay!

We have just returned home from a wonderful family holiday – at Rinsey Head, a holiday location which truly has the Wow factor!

This is indeed a very special house in amazing surroundings.

From the moment of entering the private grounds and drive, that sweeps down to the house, one encounters the most breath-taking view of Rinsey Head, set against a spectacular seascape, surrounded by unspoilt coastal vegetation.

The utterly memorable initial scene is reinforced when stepping into the house. All the rooms provide fantastic views in every direction across the sea, as does the well positioned terrace. The terrace catches the sun from dawn to dusk, so it is a delight to relax there, gaze out to sea and watch the comings and goings of the fishing boats, surfers and seabird life including a very unfazed Kestrel searching the cliffs.

This property is a definite for any lover of seascapes, coastal walking, secluded beaches, and being off the beaten track, is ideal for just relaxing to the sound of the sea!

Our family loved the location, the atmosphere and the facilities, and as we are all foodies the well-appointed kitchen and Aga were well used.

Porthleven is a short drive away and can also be reached via the coastal path (although for some that might be slightly challenging). St Ives and Penzance are also nearby.

Comfortable, cosy, homely – we absolutely loved and adored this place. It’s not glitzy, it’s welcoming. It’s like the much loved aunt who will always love you in return, as opposed to the glamorous colleague who’s fab but doesn’t return your call. I cannot imagine a better place to spend a week or two – go and experience peace, beauty, never-go-out-of-fashion style and……relax…..

Wonderful comfortable house in a fantastic location

Three generations gathered in this lovely house for a warm Autumn week. The location could not have been better, with wide sweeping views out to sea, glorious sunsets, sails, seals and even a whale. The house was extremely comfortable and well appointed – it felt more like a home than a holiday home – and everything was included that was needed. Thank you for a wonderful week. Wow

Kathy and I had one of the most wonderful holidays ever . What a fantastic place, it was so clean and well laid out. We felt so happy on the arrival and the master bedroom had great views and the bed was so comfortable if it was not the fact we were missing the unbelievable views first thing in the morning I could have easily stayed in the bed all day.

The walk along the coastal path was amazing taking us into the fishing village of Porthleven and an easy bus ride back wow a place we will always remember.
