Artist’s Studio – Guest Comments

Located within a tranquil rural hamlet within easy walking distance to Praa Sands beach. Enjoy a glass of wine in your own, flower-filled garden or relax in the comfortably furnished Artist’s Studio, which has been converted to a high standard retaining the original beams and a double-height ceiling. An ideal choice for walkers, couples holidaying with their dog, surfers or those that just want to get away from it all.

A stay to remember

My boyfriend and I stayed here this August and had a lovely week. The studio was pretty and clean and we were given a welcome basket on arrival with scones and a bottle of red. The private garden was gorgeous and we often and had our breakfast out there. There was also a dear, friendly Robin who’d come to visit. The gorgeous beach is just 10 mins walk away via a scenic route over the top. Really quiet and perfect for a romantic trip away. Local town, pubs and restaurants just a short drive away also.

The Perfect West-Cornwall Haven

After a 5 hour drive from up-country, my arrival at The Artists Studio was warmed by a delectable welcome basket of goodies and a huge sense of relaxation. Perfectly located to explore most of the county (it took no longer than 30 minutes to get to areas towards and including Lands End, less than an hour up to Truro and even north to Port Isaac, and 20 minutes to The Lizard) the studio is a clean, well maintained and full-stocked little retreat. The garden is a perfect sun-trap to sit out and read, and the living area ideal to just sit and kick-back. I will highly consider coming back when I next decide to venture to Cornwall.

A gem in secluded setting

We spent a superb week in the Artist’s Studio. It was made clear when we booked that the property is small. However for a couple who spend all day whilst on holiday out and about, this was ideal. The property is in good condition, well maintained and fully equipped with essentials and some luxuries. We met both of the couple who run the place and they are charming and most obliging, very keen to ensure that their guests are happy and cared for. The location is superb although the narrow (even by Cornish standards) lane to the cottage is tricky. A short walk in morning for newspaper was invigorating. The village shop stocks essentials and choice of supermarkets within 10 mins drive. There are simply too many attractions in this fantastic area. One visit is not enough!
