Coronavirus (COVID-19) Advice for our Guests

Following the recent announcement by the Government, we are provisionally taking bookings from weekend 3/4th July.  All bookings will remain provisional until further clarity is given on the lock-down restrictions. 

For bookings made after 11th May a full refund will be offered should the Government restrictions not be lifted in time for your holiday.  Refunds will not be offered if you choose not to travel due to health, work or personal reasons, however a postponement to your stay may be possible.

For all bookings made before 22nd March 2020

Cancellation advice for guests who no longer wish / are able to travel

Whilst we want to assist our guests as much as possible it is not possible for a small business like ours to offer 100% refunds across the board, as the reason for your holiday not continuing is outside the control of Stylish Cornish Cottages. Please be assured though we will work with each guest on a case by case basis to find a solution if possible.  Our options at present are:

If you are no longer wish or are able to travel, we are happy for you to postpone your visit and roll over your deposit / balance to the new booking.  All that we ask is you give us as much notice as you possibly can. We will waive our usual £50 re-booking fee for all guests. Please note that you will be responsible for any price increases should you change to a different season or holiday duration. All re-bookings must be made within 12 months of the original booking date.

If you feel you are unable to travel and do not wish to alter your holiday dates then normal booking conditions and cancellation charges will apply. We recommend that you speak with you travel insurance provider to see what cover you have in place for these circumstances. If your GP has advised that you cannot travel, and they have provided you with official documentation to confirm this, then again, you should speak to your travel insurance provider for advice.  If you booked your accommodation with us by credit card you may also be covered by your credit card insurance.

To be clear our cancellation policy is as follows, cancellation requests must be made in writing (preferably by email):

More than 8 weeks prior to your holiday – 25% deposit will be retained, no further balance due

4 – 8 weeks prior to your holiday – 50% of full rate will be retained

2 – 4 weeks prior to your holiday – 75% of full rate will be retained

Less than 2 weeks prior to your holiday – no refund due.

Once again, we advise all customers to follow the government advice on their own individual circumstances and in the first instance should refer to your holiday insurance.
